Homelessness Among Students & Youth in Collin County
What Is Student Homelessness?
Student homelessness refers to the lack of stable, safe, and permanent housing, forcing young individuals to stay in temporary shelters, hotels, cars, or rely on friends for a place to stay (couch surfing).
The Growing Issue in Collin County
Homelessness among youth and children in Collin County is a rising concern.
As of March 24, 2025, Plano Independent School District (ISD) reports:

Our Commitment
At Breaking Free, we are dedicated to supporting disadvantaged and at-risk youth in our community. Every young person deserves stability, care, and opportunity, and we work tirelessly to provide resources, advocacy, and support to combat youth homelessness in Collin County.
📖 Proverbs 19:17 – "Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed."

Church Without Walls (CWW) – A Mission of Breaking Free (Adults)
Church Without Walls (CWW) is one of Breaking Free’s seven missions, dedicated to bringing hope, shelter, food, and clothing to those experiencing homelessness. Rooted in the love of Jesus, we uphold the dignity and worth of every person seeking comfort, support, and assistance through this outreach.
Our Mission in Action
We actively serve the homeless six days a week, providing food, clothing, counseling, and ministry directly on the streets. Beyond immediate relief, we work to connect individuals with long-term service programs and community resources to help them rebuild their lives.
CWW operates in Collin County, Texas, and Costa Rica through Breaking Free, expanding our reach to serve the most vulnerable.
